First week in the field

 I almost died on the flight to Boston, just kidding.

- met my trainer who is super cool and also from Roseville

- came in with 12 elders and 8 sisters

- I have had quesadillas every day since being here

- weather has been pretty cold but not as bad as I thought it would be

- started playing spikeball in the apartment

- at church I understood a solid 20% which is 20 more than I thought

- I spent wayyy too much money on groceries today

We were able to teach a couple lessons this week but my favorite was about prayer. Learning how to pray is essential when communicating with our Heavenly Father. And it is life-changing to have that direct line of communication so I encourage all of you to pray as often as you can.

What is up fellow gangsters and gangsterettes?!

- french toast sticks are the breakfast of champions... donuts being a close second

- my diet for the first few weeks was good... and then I submitted to my inner cookie monster and am eating too much sugar

- I encourage all who are reading this to read your patriarchal blessing frequently! If you do not have one, work on getting ready to receive it 

- got a fresh cut too, so I do not look like a hobo

- snow is not the move, especially because I have spent 18 years of my life in California, especially when it is 8 degrees outside

- traded my first tie, def ended up with the better one

- spanish is way harder than I thought it would be also way easier than i thought it would be 

- my district did baptisms for the dead last week and today we did proxy initiatories which was a great experience 

-  started a miracle journal, which helps me to be more thankful every day

- our devotional this most recent tuesday was from Elder Bednar... I think I fell in love with him too

- got my travel itinerary for this coming tuesday, and we leave at 4:30 in the morning 

I have gotten to know my district so well and I am going to miss them a ton. However, I am so ready to get to the field.

One of the sisters in my district asked me to give her a blessing so all day I was trying super hard to keep the Spirit with me. It felt so good, I encourage y'all to strive to keep the Spirit with you always.
