Mopeds, Wheelchairs and Noises

 I'm good thanks for asking.

Earlier this we were turning and some 16 year old teenager pulled out right in front of me on a moped and he was less than a foot from the front of my car. So basically almost ran him over. Then the next day we were going to DC and there was a guy smoking a blunt while rolling in a wheelchair with Boston traffic. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen.  I think he thought he was a car. Lastly the noises is kind of pretty funny. We got a referral and stopped by and before we could knock there was some very loud, interesting, high pitched noises coming from the inside so we decided to come back later.

- Elder Cotterell bought me Wahlburgers for the first time and that was pretty fire.
- We got some more snow and as fun as that is I much prefer my weather back in California.
- Service at the Boston Food Bank was legit, we made meal boxes mega fast.
- I had the opportunity to participate in two blessings in the same day!
- I got my haircut at a Dominican Barbershop and it was so expensive but so fun. Sammy, my Barber, is 23 and the    freaking best we spoke in spanish and he taught me some phrases and I helped him with English. That dude was    my brother in the premortal life.
- This week was pretty lowkey so you're welcome for the shorter email.

For more details about the blessings. The first was for an older man in out branch that is going in to the doctor this week to see if he had cancer. And the second blessing was for a 2 month old in the Boston's Children Hospital and that was such a special experience. Most of our friends are off and on. We had both the new converts at church this past Sunday. Juan and Julieth are doing great and Juan's brother, Brahain, we put on date! And his first lesson was tithing haha, talk about being prepared by the Lord. Lastly our friend Maria is struggling with some word of wisdom addictions but she says she wants to change but isn't willing to get rid of some the items she is addicted too. It's a huge charity reminder for me, but if y'all got ideas on how to help her let me know please.

Mooned and "why are there pimples on your face?"

 Que tal?!

So we got to a lesson early and while doing contacts in the car some highschooler ran in front of us and mooned us :) the good Ole days. Then in a lesson on exchanges I had a 6 year old girl ask me why there were so many pimples on my forehead LOL. E. Maw turned to me and said get roasted. RIP my dignity.

Anyway it's catch-up time (lo siento)
- We got transfer news about two weeks ago and now I have been in Boston for two weeks with my new comp, E. Cottrell.
- Funny moment during a lesson was I thought this lady, Yakary, asked me to say the prayer so I started saying it the same time she did. SOO awkward and I was freaking embarrassed.
- I'm now living in the most expensive apartment in the mission not to flex on yall but I probably won't live anywhere this nice again.
- Last Sunday we had high counselors give talks and they knew English and Mandarin so they had to have a translator which was cool to see both those cultures coming together.
- We have had the fire alarm go off twice now, once at 6:45 am and the other at about 7:30am the following day. Like bruh what y'all doing in the kitchen??
- I got to help some guy figure out how to leave the subway cause he didn't know English and was trying to talk to a worker. So I translated for him and we got him out.
- Yesterday I got to throw a football around with a couple of younger kids for a second and before I left they said when they get to the NFL they want me to be their QB. That would be a dream but sadly I don't think I'm good enough for that.
- Lastly, we pulled up to a referral we got and it was definitely the wrong address but we talked to this guy named AJ, probably about my age and he was so funny and was surprised two white guys were proselytizing in Dorchester. Then we ran into him like 5 min later coming back down the steps and he said he would pray with us if we did 100 push-ups. And well he wanted E. Cottrell to do them and sadly he is half paralyzed but he still cranked out 26 which is insane. I did a few more and we got to say a prayer with them but it was soo funny and gave me some motivation to do some more push-ups. Just in case that ever happens again HA.

OK so this area has been way different than Marlboro but I put my first people on date! Julieth and Juan. They are from Columbia and are so amazing. We have been trying to meet with some other people with not a ton of luck. We are working with an inactive member, Andy and he is the most humble man I've ever met and I can't wait to see him at church. Then there is Maria, she speaks English and is the sweetest soul. She tries so hard to invite God into her life and home and she is going through so many health and family struggles. She has been a huge example for me of enduring to the end.

Hasta la próxima!

Walking On Water and Bobcats

 Hola mis hijos

So this week it got to the double digit negatives and we have a couple ponds close to us. One night Elder Berber and I decided to walk across one, and we ended up on our stomachs but we made it across the whole thing. The ice was probably about an inch thick, no more than 1.5 in. While we were driving there we saw a bobcat, I am fairly certain that was my first time seeing one alive.

-  I broke our frying pan flipping quesadillas haha. It was a sad day. We also tried kielbasa for the first time in that broken frying pan.
- Driving out of our complex one day we saw a young toddler bouncing a basketball, and he bounced it straight into his face and started crying. Then the ball rolled towards us and I almost popped it with the Rogue. But it is ok because I didn't
- I got my DNA results from Ancestry and I am 45% Scottish, yes that is where I get my good looks from. I guess I owe some of that to my parents too. (more to my mom)
- Elder Berber and I have been playing shuffleboard a lot and of course I am winning almost all of our games, although I do not know if we are playing it right.
- Friday service was sad because I said goodbyes because I figured that I would be leaving this transfer. I got really close with most of the people there. I have especially gotten close with a woman named Erica who calls me her son lol, so the last day I yelled across the warehouse and said "MOM I NEED HELP". Gonna miss them fools.
- The pipes froze and burst at the Marlboro chapel so the building was closed and we had to drive 30 min to go to the Franklin chapel for church.
- Lastly we got transfer news last night and I will be leaving Elder Berber and going to Boston, like the city Boston. I hope yall know what I mean. So I am pretty excited about that.

This week was pretty slow. We had our normal lessons with Richard every night and he made it to church yesterday! So that was exciting. We met with the Fernandez family finally, and they are doing good. Daniel Ayala expressed that he only really understands the Bible which is so helpful to know. If he didn't say anything then we would have kept reading from the pamphlets. So hopefully now we can see some more steady progression from him. Ronaldo is doing good, the only problem is having him remember what we talked about the previous week.

Next email will be from Boston. Love yall
