¿Que pasa calabaza?

Good day to all of you,

If you don't know... I'm sorry.

This week:
- Interviews w/President Brough were on Tuesday and that was inspiring as always ðŸ™Œ
- Service @ My Brothers Table always gives me a new perception on life ðŸ˜ķ
- District Council was about giving chapel tours (virtual & in person) ⛪️
- We got free Dominican food and pastries ðŸ‡ĐðŸ‡ī
- Fast Sunday was pretty difficult but it gave me a chance to tell my body I wasn't gonna die and i learned that however hard we try, without Jesus Christ it will never feel sufficient ðŸ˜…
- Pday with da homies today, I paid 9$ for groceries this week [thanks to my grandma, aunts, & mom!] ðŸĪŠ

We had a lot a lot of time to find with very little success. Our goal was 10 people found and we got 5. It was humbling for sure. But I'm happy with our efforts because we know that God knows we were trying. We are teaching a "friend" of a member. His name is Benjamin and he is super prepared so we are going to try and put him on date for baptism this week! We had a few member lessons too, got to know their conversion stories and we left them inspired and uplifted with some scriptures! I am pretty excited for General Conference. Reason 1 being it breaks up our schedule differently and reason 2 because we get to hear our freaking amazing leaders speak!

Love y'all

Will you accept my kiss?

 Hola a todos,

While we were greeting people at church, one of the members asked the hermanas (sister missionaries) if they would accept a kiss from him. It was mega awkward. Like super weird. Thankfully he proceeded to pull out a chocolate kiss from his jacket. Crisis avoided. ✅️

This week:
- I made tortilla soup and it actually tasted good. ðŸē
- Zone Conference was also this week where we focused on going back to the Basics (church, prayer, scriptures). Attribute focus for these next 5 weeks is obedience. Lots of time to grow :))
- We helped prepare the branch for La Cena Internacional. ðŸĨģ  There were probably about 80ish people.
- We also had some excellent photo shoots. ðŸ“ļ

We were outside a lot this week. Talking to a lot of people and knocking a lot of doors. This was the first week, in a long time, that we reached our goal of 8/8 people found. Many of those people were miracles and I am grateful for all of them. I am also grateful for the people who said no because that has helped me to become more humble and patience. No new updates on friends. Kennet is continuing to progress in the Gospel.

This week I have been focusing a lot on patience. Thinking before I speak and being quick to listen. We memorized Romans 1:16 and when I am feeling impatient and frustrated I recite the scripture. A good friend talked about gratitude and how there are many negative things in our life. However, if we are patient and grateful we will live more blissfully.  And we can help others live more blissfully as well. As the Savior would.

Listen

 Hola,

Sometimes as human beings we need to be appreciated. That means we need to be listened to. So my advice to you, listen to someone. It doesn't hurt to show them you care.

Esta semana:
- My stomach attacked itself. ðŸ˜Đ
- Last service with Hna.Peterson. ðŸš§
- E.Ifopō gave his departing testimony. Now my dead [parent note: companions who have finished their mission] comps outweigh the ones that are still alive. ☠️
- I did push-ups in the rain.  ðŸŒ§
- This week was mad boring not gonna lie. ðŸ˜ī
- I wrestled another elder today, I would like to say it's one of the times I have been happiest. :)) I did win.

We have zero progressing friends. We had a lot of finding time with little success. We are pushing the rock, really hard. Kennet is on a steady incline of gospel knowledge. We had a random friend from 3 weeks ago come to church so we will see if she wants the smoke.

I'm sorry for the short email. Next week I will share more!

Love y'all

Dual Exchanges

 Hola mi gente!

On Tuesday I exchanged with E.Lines again! Two days later I exchanged with E.Christensen in Revere. I learned a lot from both of them and I got to reflect on the changes that I have made since the last ones.

This week:
- Find Time grind for 6 hours with E.Lines and we found some elect people ðŸ˜‡
- Service do be a fiesta every time ðŸĨģ
- We got free pastries at a member's bakery on exchanges with E.Christensen ðŸĨ
- Last DC with the best district ever ðŸ˜”
- We played some 1v1 spikeball, with E.Bingham. I came back and I was down 0-10 ðŸĪ—
- Went to my first Ward Council, which was really beneficial ðŸ“
- District Pday at the beach and then food at the sister's apartment, provided by E.Vasconcelos ⛱️

This week was a grind for sure, lots of finding and not a lot of success. A lo hecho pecho. That's how life works sometimes so we just keep pushing the rock! No progressing friends, but we are still prepping Kennet for the temple.

I love you all
