Hola mi gente [Hello my people],

This last Friday a fellow servant of the Lord almost burned down our church building. The oven was turned on and there was plastic in it... I have never inhaled so much smoke in my life but everyone is a-ok!

Esta semana [this week]:

☆ I gapped the ZL's. 

☆ Mama Van Cott bought us Subway gift cards! 

☆ I ate waffles and ice cream at institute. 

☆ The training at District Council was given on charity.  

☆ Branch Talent Show was lit. My third child beatboxed. 

☆ Ward council was longggggg. [very, very long... ;)] ️

☆ Spikeball for Pday!!  

We did not reach our finding goal this week. We don't really have any progressing friends. Sandra came to church on Sunday and she read the Introduction to the Book of Mormon when we asked her too!

Mi único deseo eres tú

Hola a todos,

Mi único deseo eres tú, Dios. [My only desire is you, God.]  I'm growing to love my Heavenly Father and what He has done for me. It's a process but I love it.

Esta semana [this week]: 

■ It was really cold. I do not like it.  

■ I got frostnip. 

■ Service at Gather55 went crazy, first full shift. 

■ We had Zone Conference! Transfer focus is charity. I think this conference was my favorite one.  

■ We got dinner from Hna Rosa and it was muy rico [very rich, er... delicious].  

■ Service at Cornerstone was also really good, we served some ravioli and I called the boss lady "mom".  

■ I taught math and order of operations in our English Class. ️

■ Went to the temple with a new convert and the hermanas [sister missionaries].  

■ Abel passed the sacrament for the first time and I helped him tie his corbata [tie].  

We got humbled this week and only found 3/6 people, but we changed up some things for this next week! We taught Kennet again but he couldn't make it to church. Cristopher ended up canceling and couldn't go to the temple. Estamos emocionados para moler esta semana! [We are excited to grind this week!]  

Earlier this week I was not the happiest, due to my own selfish attitude. I was asked to pray for the friend of a loved one and it was difficult because I knew that the friend was not nice to this particular loved one in the past. I tried my best to remember that we all make mistakes and overall it was a really healthy and humbling growing experience for me. :))

Super-duper hat

This week I made my first hat... it's call the Super-duper hat and it's quite large. 

Esta semana:

︎ Exchanges this week with E.Jones and E.Rasmussen!  

︎ I made my first snowangel of the season.  

︎ Service @ Gather55, we bussed more tables and E.Crow said bye to the homies. 

︎ I took a big step in my balloon making skills and now I can make a stegosaur!  

︎ Ate out at Bears 2x this week... its kinda good but we might be rinsing it. 

︎ We explored a few crawl places in the church, while waiting for our friends to show up at institute. 

︎ Went through my first ever alcohol checkpoint 2x! (Idk what they are called)   

︎ Met my 3rd child! E.Van Cott and I got to say hi to a missionary I served with before. 

︎ I got Spike back.  

︎ I gave the training at District Council on how we can work with new members.  

We achieved our finding goal!! 8/8  In an All Mission Meeting this week we were refocused on sight and sound while finding. The nature of "the finding flow" causes us to drift further than we should. During the first few days of refocusing on sight on sound we found several people in smaller amounts of time! On paper it doesn't make sense because it isn't as effective. But I know that a majority of the time I don't understand what God is doing anyway. With a few new members we have been having these awesome calls every night to share our testimonies, ask questions and read in the scriptures. Lastly, we started teaching 9 year old Kenet last night (part-member family) and it's always so precious to teach a child. AND I got to make balloon animals for Kenet and his cousin Jacob.  mom & dad
