Hola
I am sure that almost all of you are aware that this past Tuesday was the day that Joseph and Hyrum Smith were martyred. So this week I have been studying that a little bit and digging deeper into my own relationships. With the gospel and with family. What would I do for my brothers? My sister? How far would I go? I can say with a certainty that I would do whatever it takes to keep them safe.
This week:
- We were walking in the park while a Pastor was preaching over the mic and he gave us a shout out because we were picking up trash the other day.
- We got sauced up by a another Pastor... Bro. Frank. He was super nice but told us we had to become perfect in this life. *scratches head* Not possible, sorry Frank.
- Exchanges with the goat E. Lines. He is from SoCal and he gave me the energy boost that I needed.
️
️ - I finally succeeded at using our new finding technique and it felt soooo good.
- Saturday was Noche de Hogar (family home evening), we watching the Restoration movie and it was so good.
- DC (District Council; a weekly meeting with other missionaries) with a Humility focus!

- Spikeball at the beach again. I can feel my powers returning.
We are filtering through our friends a lot faster now, those who don't want to go to church, we don't work with. Simple. Easy. We have two progressing friends rn: Kenet who is our age and now reads the bofm for an hour every day and Petula who has a hard life and is trying to get closer to God. I can see their efforts and I know God is pleased with them.
Lastly, with this extra focus on humilty I have learned a lot. Most of the time when we hear the word humility, we think pride. While pride is a huge factor in humility, an aspect that is talked about less is that to be humble means to not have self-pity. We need to be happy with the things we have and work even harder to keep them. That's it, go kill it this week.
